Over 120 Mezzanine lifts fitted at stores throughout UK and Ireland
Dunelm is the UK’s No.1 homewares retailer, with over 170 stores throughout the country and a turnover in excess of £1 billion. Founded in 1979, the company has grown to become a FTSE 250 listed multichannel retailer with almost 7,000 employees.
In 2010, Dunelm began fitting mezzanine floors at all of its new and refresh stores in order to increase retail selling space and improve product storage capacity, while enhancing customers’ in-store experience. Dunelm chose Transdek to install lifts at each site as a safer and more cost-effective alternative to forklifts.
To date, Transdek has fitted 120 goods lifts throughout the Dunelm estate. We keep a stock of parts to enable us to manufacture lifts quickly to meet Dunelm’s flexible lead times. Standard lifts have a platform size of 2450mm x 1900mm, smaller lifts 1500mm x 1500mm.
